Overview

A micro-project exploring the concept of Z-axis scrolling. As the user scrolls down, layers sequentially scale up and fade out, drawing the eye continuously into the center of the screen.

The Challenge

Web navigation is traditionally locked to the X and Y axes. EchoZoom was an experiment in creating a purely depth-based (Z-axis) navigational feel using standard CSS transforms tied to scroll position.
